This picture was commissioned (likely in the 1960s or 70s) by the Swift family of Lake Forest, IL. Whiffy was named after the Yale Whiffenpoof singers that Mr. Swift had been a part of, and Whiffy was Mr. Swift's pet.
This charming painting features a fluffy white pekingese puppy. The portrait is bust up with a sky blue background, and Whiffy has his head tilted to the left. The piece is held in a simple neutral frame.
