Panos Valsamakis (Greece, 1900-1986) is renowned as one of the greatest contemporary ceramicists in the world. His pieces vary in style utilizing traditional and contemporary techniques, and are often inspired by Greek folklore. Valsamakis earner numerous awards across his career including the 1986 Academy of Athens lifetime achievement award.
