Milling Road by Baker Linen Press (0KC003)

Baker Milling Road collection linen press. Linen presses were originally designed to flatten and store textiles. This gorgeous cabinet crafted from a light-toned pine features a design from Baker's Milling Road collection. The piece sits on a simple base with long, slender legs, a box stretcher, and a simple frieze with a slight curve. The base is slightly wider than the cabinet. The cabinet has a two door design, each of which has two panels. The panels have a wheat detail atop a linear background. The cabinet doors each have a teardrop-shaped brass door pull on a rectangular backplate. When opened, the cabinet reveals two shelves. The top of the cabinet has a trim that overhangs the sides of the piece considerably. This shaker-style linen press is a charming piece that could also be used as a bar cabinet or bookcase.
