Mai Wyn Schantz graduated from Rocky Mountain College of Art & Design in Denver, Colorado. For over 20 years she's been painting on aluminum and then on stainless steel. Her work is known for marrying scenes of natural landscapes with an industrial touch of modernism. Her works are included in exhibits like the Weidner Center for the Arts at the University of Wisconsin, the Aurora Arts Council in Colorado and Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance in Wisconsin.
