Jules Jacquemart is famously known for his etchings from the French 19th century revival of the craft. His precision and clean designs are praised to this day with an array of his prints being held in the MET. This particular print was originally published in the mid 1800s in Paris. The print in frame was printed in Italy and hand painted with watercolor. The print depicts an ornate porcelain vase adorned with details in yellow and blue. The piece is signed in the lower right. Held in an ornate carved gold frame with a white mat that has a blue inner border, this piece really pops. A beautiful work of art that is sure to elevate a space with its clean design and simple but stunning color palette.
