Jean Drury (1942-2023) was a mixed media artist from DuPage County. She practiced a variety of styles from impressionist to surrealist, with an admiration for marine life in particular. Jean created a diverse set of art with varying styles and subjects over her career and was an active member of the DuPage Art League.

The piece features two figures, one male and one female. The female is painted in the style of impressionist realism, while the male is depicted as a topographical map of the face. The unpopulated sections depict geometric shapes and a darker abstract section. The painting heavily features a more neutral color palette than Drury's usual fare, focusing instead on the details of the two subjects.
