It is a slender, oblong shape with a gilt outer rim and delicate handles. The pattern was originally inspired by the Rothschild family of Europe after Baroness Rothschild lost her pearl necklace in a Vienna garden. Days later, the gardener found birds playing with the precious necklace in a tree. This iconic set was lovingly used by the Rothschild family and later named after them. The birds symbolize love and relationships, representing a male and female pair. This beautiful pattern was even used by Princess Diana at her wedding reception.
