The buildings beside the hill seem to be a village, and the ones sitting atop the hill look like a fortress or castle. The foreground of this piece features a gently flowing river, and just before the first building sits a small forest of trees. The piece is set in a thick, gold sloped frame. A beautiful impressionist piece that's sure to brighten up a space.
