Doodlebug Workshop is a vocational school that teaches practical skills in a classroom setting to participants with disabilities ages 16-60+. Participants learn to create products made of wood, metal, and reclaimed materials. Skilled volunteers including retired wood shop teachers, local veterans, and woodworking craftsmen teach use and safety of hand tools and power tools. In tandem with craftsmanship skills, Doodlebug also teaches participants skills like independence, accomplishment, and building self-esteem. The workshop is supported by sponsors and donors who fund the facility, workshop, tools, supplies, and operating expenses.

This charming birdhouse features three separate segments on a rectangular wooden base. The left and right compartment are filled with seasonal decorative items such as faux holly, pine tree branches, and little wooden white cutouts. The center portion of the piece is the actual birdhouse that has a small perch and entrance hole in the center. A charming festive piece with a slight rustic feel that's sure to add Christmas cheer to any space.
