This artwork features a field of bright red poppies in the foreground. Moving to the middle ground the hills are a brighter green and include a house situated between the field and the hills. On the horizon in the background, there is a small town hidden in the hills. This piece also includes a bright blue sky with white clouds. 

Antonio Berti was an Italian painter, mainly portraits, landscapes, and romantic scenes. Born in Faenza on September 20, 1830 and died in Faenza on July 14, 1912.
