Allan Herschell attributed repainted carousel horse, jumper with jewels. Circa 1930. This classic jumping carousel horse is constructed with a hollow wooden body with an aluminum tail and legs. It sits on an octagonal white base with brass hardware. The horse is a cream color with light tan detailing and a taupe mane and tail. It wears distinctive light blue trappings with faceted stone accents in red and blue, and painted star details. The stirrups have brown leather straps and brass hardware, and the horse's hooves are protected with brass horseshoes. The horse has its original glass eyes, and is marked A6 on its underbelly near the pole. This highly collectible piece is sure to create a bold focal point, and is perfect for a whimsical display.
