Small rectangular lacquered Russian wooden box. Lid is fully removable. Features a fairytale scene decting 3 sleeping knights and a grey wolf standing at a gate in the foreground. At the center, a man stands holding a large red bird on his glove. Roofs of a palace are in the distant at the top. Surrounding the scene are floral patterns and columns with curtains. Scene is titled ' Tale of Prince Ivan and Grey Wolf'. Gold leaf in floral designs border the sides of box. Lacquer features iridescent mother of pearl and bronze inlay.
