Two travelers on the highway by Utagawa Kuniyoshi. Features a richly dressed woman with a pipe in her left hand and a stick in her right hand. Behind her, there is a second woman, buried in her robe, and wearing a headscarf. They are standing on the sand in front of a river. In the background, a dog and two people walk in the direction of cottages between pine trees.

Utagawa Kuniyoshi was one of the last great masters of the Japanese ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints and painting. His artwork incorporated aspects of Western representation in landscape painting and caricature.
