Chinoiserie Lacquered Secretary Desk

Two-piece secretary desk in a Chinoiserie style, inspired by Chinese design. Features a shiny, black-laquered finish. Folds out to reveal a desk with 6 vertical and two horizontal storage compartments. Entire desk is adorned with detailed depictions of figures, botanicals, and natural and urban scenes of rich warm tones, multicolored with an orange hue. Upper cabinet of the desk opens to reveal 9 storage compartments. Below the desk, 6 drawers provide additional storage. Top of the desk is adorned with a thin and angular cut detailing with a curved broken pediment and tall finial.
